my fiance has left me due to his father (Dec 29 2009)

Please help me I am white and my Fiance is Indian we our both Christians who take our faith serious and live by Gods way. We were to get married on March 31st 2010 which we both were so excited about he had set up a life here in Ireland were he had a company he was starting and lots of contacts.
His parents are Indian and live in Al ain U.A.E they work at the hospital and are very much involved in the church my Fiance Eric was sent to boding school in Indian from the age of 11 and he grew up trying to be the best he could to please his parents his father kept putting him down and telling him he was worthless.
When he graduated he got accepted into a business schloarship in Ireland with the enterprise Ireland young entrepenurs he made it by himself he believed in himself and wanted to prove his family wrong which he did. During his time there he became envolve in the church and his faith grew too.
We met through mutual friends and our relationship grew with prayer and faith we decided to get married and he proposed he told his parents they were fine to start with but he went to dubai in September and i went over to meet them in October but due to there work i did not see them.
I came home and he stayed there and then went to india to sort out his visa for here.
His father went to India 2 wekks ago and told him that he did not approve of us getting married and Eric had to choose Eric chose me and the life he had here as his father has made him worthless his whole life. His father said that was his decision and left and went to Dubai but before going set up a meeting with a Pastor for Eric to go see on 26th Dec Eric went to the pastor he took his phone put him under house arrest and made him pray and fast 24 hours he had told him he had sinned and what he had with me was wrong and he had to see the errors of his ways.
Next his Dad had told nim he would commit suicide if he chose me again. His father is a christian pastor and knows how strong Erics beliefs are they are sending him to Austrailia on the 2nd January and now Im left so confused by what has happened our faith together our wedding was right we both love each other conditionally and we were growing together in our church we had so many plans. his passion for God is so pure and strong but yet he says God does not want this.
I feel he has been brainwashed to belief he has done wrong i need prayer for both of us from someone who is not influenced by his father we need spiritual guidance
